ASTF is a community event and It depends on our local community volunteers to make it successful. We had close to 70 people volunteering to help last year, which allows us to keep the cost down and the quality high and volunteering is a lot of fun.

The festival is organized under a non-profit, 501c3 corporation, and any profits are returned to our local community here. The festival is what pays for our community’s very successful Practica Assistance Program, which allows everyone, at no cost to themselves, to get a bit of private instruction from our local teachers. As the festival grows, we are looking at other opportunities to support our local teachers and dancers.
So please play an active part in this fun event and get involved deeper in our tango community. Let’s show the visiting guests the spirit of our beautiful city and Austin tango community.
